From Our Home Kitchen to Your Table
In the middle of the pandemic in August 2021, we started with a simple dream from our home kitchen, under the name Warung Bu Siti.
What began as weekly pre-orders grew into catering, tumpeng, and event services all driven by one big dream: to one day open an Indonesian restaurant in Melbourne.
In 2026, we take the first step toward that dream by becoming Ulam Rasa.
A new name, a renewed spirit, but rooted in the same journey and a family-run business.
This journey is a family story, a wife & husband team, plus two kids 😊
👩🍳 Jessica - with roots in Madiun, Madura, and Batak heritage, a William Angliss graduate, with experience at Bistro Guillaume and Atlantic Group.
👨💼 Tonino - with Sunda, Javanese, and Makassarese roots, bringing a background in commercial sales and business management.
👧👦 And our children, born in Melbourne, growing up as part of this story.
Since 2021, we’ve tested our menu, listened closely to feedback, and discovered our strength: Simple Indonesian rice dishes, comforting, familiar flavours, executed with consistency and care.
